DEPARTMENT CULTURE & ACTIVITIES
In BPS, associates, senior associates, assistant manager and interns from the Strategic and Operation Team and Human Resource team sits at the same open area where we all do not have fixed permanent seats. The seats are pretty much based on a first-come, first-served and only a handful of employees leave their items on the table to mark their 'territory'. Each row of tables and called an 'Island' and the last island in that area which is right next to a Director's cubicle is called 'The Isolated island' and is the only space the Human Resource team would sit at as they are a a very small group.
Most employees sitting at the open area are young adults all below the age of 30. Generally everyone in the department is very friendly and the department is never quiet unless the employees are not around. Our tables have very low divider which enabled us to communicate with each other very easily. I felt very welcome ever since the first day of internship. Whenever the employees have outings or gathering they would always send invites even to the interns (most of them).

KPMG has campaigns regularly to increase the awareness of the employees about their upcoming events and I was asked to help to facilitate one of their campaigns

Besides eating, BPS is also a very active department. They would have sport outings during the weekends/ holidays

Lion dance is also a yearly event at KPMG to end the CNY season where the lion will go from the lowest level to the highest level in KPMG

Women's Day is also a very famous event in KPMG. Every year they would give out goodies to all the female employees in the company and would usually have a theme colour for that particular day.

Birthday lunch is a very famous event in BPS and on top of that we also went for an escape room game to release stress as it was a very tiring week for all of us

And on my last day, they had a farewell lunch for me and I had to give a small speech at the end of the meal

At the end of my last day after I do my clearance, some of my team mates surprised me with my favourite toy, Hello Kitty which made my last day so memorable
