With superior support from the Taylor's University Career Services Centre, a series of activities had been organized to facilitate the students who are going for internship. So before selecting a potential company to our internship, we were required to attend a few pre-internship workshop to get ourselves ready for our internship including cover letter and resume writing skills, interviewing skills, ethics and many more. In addition to those skills, the speakers also talk much about their real experience dealing with fresh graduates and interns and gave us some tips on how to handle certain situation.

Being a Finance and Economics student, most workshop speakers are from finance/ accounts related companies such as Ernsts & Young, Deloitte, BDO and etc. Each workshop day were separated into 2 sessions where one session will be allocated to the Business students such as IBM, HR, BA and IB students while another session will be allocated to the Finance students who were in A&F, B&F and F&E. However, we are given the flexibility to attend either one or both up to our choice.

Not just workshops, the CSC also prepared a platform for us students to apply for the companies of our choice provided the companies are link with Taylor's University. On top of that, they would also assist those who wants to do their own placement.

Under this section, I will be sharing about my preparations before the internship. This section covers:

  1. Workshops and Trainings

  2. Selection of Companies

  3. Expectations & Goals
